Calstock Bike Show

The Calstock Bike Show

With the slogan like “Possibly the best bike show in the world?” you know you’re in for a treat. Enjoy the stunningly beautiful Valley alongside the live music, food and drink of its local inhabitants at the beginning of August, every summer.

Calstock is a friendly village located along the banks of the River Tamar in Cornwall, a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and this year it is host to lively festival celebrating bands, bikes and beer. If you love camping, you’re in for a great weekend of outdoor adventure, but if you prefer the comfort of a cosy cottage to the canvas walls of a tent, we’ve got you covered – stay at Galleon House Calstock.

If we’re all booked, there’s another great cottage next door – book a stay at Mariners House.

Want to experience an authentic account of the best local food, culture and music? The Bike Show in Calstock is perfect for you.

A Day of Fun for Everyone

The Calstock Bike Show really does have everything covered – from local stalls for food and drink to a fantastic showing of impressive bikes, there’s something for everyone. The Show deliberately keeps prices reasonable for food and drink, so although you can definitely bring you’re own, we’d recommend sampling some of the best catering the area has to offer! The only rule is to avoid glass – a great way to enjoy all the Valley has to offer it whilst also respecting the environment.

If you’re travelling to the bike show we would also recommend checking with the local weather forecast – being caught without your wellies on a rainy day is a sure-fire way to ruin some shoes!

The Line-Up

The Bike Show will also be hosts to a hand-picked array of the best bands in the area, so be sure to sample some of the Valley’s musical talent. In the intimate setting of a beautiful Cornish valley, these performances will be one-of-a-kind. Nightly shows last from around 6.30 to midnight, so there should be plenty of time to enjoy the music and pick a favourite.

Galleon House

If you’re looking for a luxurious and cosy place to stay to enjoy this unique bike show, Galleon House is for you. Just like the show, the House is perfect for families and groups looking to enjoy all the Tamar Valley has to offer. Located on the border between Cornwall and Devon, the property is perfectly situated for visitors looking to enjoy the best both areas have to offer.
